Variable charges change according to the type and number of operations carried out (for example, the number of transfers made).<br>A survey carried out by Banca Italia shows that the average annual expense for a bank account in Italy is about 80 Euro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It is important to insure your second home in Italy.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Home insurance can cover both expenses due to breakdowns and domestic emergencies of any kind, and those for damages to third parties, including in many cases also theft and fire insurance, mandatory for those who have purchased the property with a bank loan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Insuring your own home is certainly a good practice, and you must always take into account the economic aspect of the matter:<br><strong>The cost of a home insurance<\/strong> is extremely variable as it <strong>takes into account several factors<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Selected kind of insurance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overdrafts or deductibles applied;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Past claims, if any.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Such insurance can start from a basic level of about 70 euros per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Taxes to be paid to the Government for maintaining a property in Italy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main annual tax to be paid is called IUC (single municipal tax)<br>It is a tax that includes 3 taxes: IMU ( not paid on the first house unless it is a luxury house), TASI (tax on municipal services such as road maintenance, public lighting, etc..) and TARI (waste, garbage). Anyone who owns a property in Italy, whether resident or non-resident, is subject to payment of the IUC, the amount of which is divided into two\/three stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;IMU is applied to the cadastral value of the property plus 5%. The amount must be further multiplied by the coefficient corresponding to the cadastral category. The basic rate for second homes is 0.76%, but the municipality may decide to increase or decrease it by 0.3%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;The same is true for TASI.
